I still think you bring Cayce Jones - he's just insanely strong, even when you are pressured for stones - but I can see an argument for leaving him at home in return for something like the Hand of Janus, which gives you some ranged punch, or the Emissary to protect your squishy little Grave Goo until it can do its job

Its the archetypal weapon for just about any battle this side of Middle-earth or Midgar, and there have been a LOT of them in Magic: The Gathering over the years
